The Victorian Building Authority regularly conducts compliance checks on roof drainage systems, and during these inspections have reported that – in some instances – the work they check is not compliant with Australian Standards.
We’ve had a few questions from customers recently about current regulations so we have prepared a list of requirements for you to consider when specifying your box gutters. This document draws on the most recent VBA guidelines, and is for roofers, plumber and builders who are designing drainage systems.
The guidelines specify requirements in relation to:
- gradient
- support systems
- outlets
- overflow
- layout
We hope that this can be a useful resource for you when planning your next roofing project.
